We have survived the first two days of school.  The children are happy to be back and are excited about the year. We have enjoyed getting to know them and they are showing us their best behavior, are eager to make a good impression and start out on a positive note.  Please follow my blog by adding your email address to the susbribe link on the right side of the page on this blog.  I look forward to a great year. 

Service Projects Ideas

This summer I was trying to get my own children into the community to help others in some sort of a volunteer opportunity and found that there were not as many options as I would have hoped.  This got me to thinking that I have a bigger responsibility than just talking to my students about the world around them.  I want to empower children to make a difference in the world.  What ideas do you have for this project?   Please post your ideas!

Welcome to the 2013-2014 school year

As another school year begins, I, like many teachers, am bright eyed, ambitious with my goals, and excited for a fresh start with  eager learners.  I have even decided to start a new blog that parents, teachers, friends and students will use as a resource for learning throughout the year. I hope that we will be able to use this as a place to talk about what's happening in the schools as well as share links, apps and information.
